 Tue 09-Aug-2016

Dr. Sonja Swanson, department of Epidemiology: The division of our genes is often seen as an experiment of nature, enabling us to study the impact of obesity on cardiovascular, neurologic, and psychiatric diseases. New statistical methods will be developed to unravel the health effects of obesity on health throughout life using genes.

Sonja is one of the nine Erasmus MC researchers who has been awarded a Veni grant by NWO! The grant amounts to a maximum of € 250,000 per researcher. A total of 158 grants are being awarded to promising young researchers, according to the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
