■ Promote scientific quality in genetic risk prediction research
- Reporting guidelines: Strengthening the Reporting of Genetic Risk Prediction Studies (GRIPS) (in preparation)
- Analysis software: PredictABEL, an R program for the analyses of genetic risk prediction studies (in preparation)
■ Facilitate Training and Education in genomic applications in medicine and public health Is a participating center in the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences (Nihes). Nihes offers master of science programmes and short courses in various disciplines including genetic epidemiology, epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, clinical research and public health. |

HuGENet™
The Human Genome Epidemiology Network, or HuGENet™, is a global collaboration of individuals and organizations committed to the assessment of the impact of human genome variation on population health and how genetic information can be used to improve health and prevent disease.
HuGENet™ Coordinating Centers
The department of Epidemiology of the Erasmus University Medical Center is one of the six Coordinating Centers for HuGENet™. It supports and supplements the activities of the National Office of Public Health Genomics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The other HuGENet™ Coordinating Centers are:
